Any specific changes to the csh shell?

Yes. In some ways the Tru64 UNIX csh is more capable than the standard Solaris supplied csh. However, the Solaris supplied tcsh seems to be a good replacement. Sun Solaris csh does not support command line editing (e.g., cmdedit or editmode) as is supported under Tru64 UNIX. Use the tcsh shell for the csh command line editing feature. Solaris offers other shells that support command line editing, for example ksh and bash.
