Any other practical tips for panoshoots?

Shooting with a fisheye? Watch your feet! At 180-degrees, it is much easier to get your feet in the shot than with any other lens. I have been surprised many, many times! Have a friend or assistant with you while shooting a panorama? Need to ask someone to move for you to be able to complete you pano? Besides asking them to leave completely (rude!?), then the easy solution is to just ask them to always stand behind you as you shoot. Then they will always be out of the shot and you don’t have to keep asking them to move. Another thing you can/should do in your camera for shooting panoramas is to TURN OFF your auto-rotate feature in your camera’s software controls. Often when shoot spherical panoramas, the software gets confused on which way is up. Even more importantly, when you are viewing/analyzing your shots on your LCD screen on the back of your camera, if the shot is rotated to a horizontal position, you are reducing your ability to view the file by about 50% since it is no longer
