In order to get the babys passport, at least one of the parents has to submit an application with his/her ID card. New computerized ID cards have been issued to all Pakistanis over the past 3-4 years. It is a good idea for you to have your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) or NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) made through NADRA so you do not have any delays due to the processing of your NICOP. It takes 4-6 weeks to get the new card.
