The base of the polyps (mats) seem to lose some of their ability to adhere. I have used several different colonies of different species, but all have exhibited similar tendencies. The colonies will drop trailers of polyps, but super glue has been the only way to get them to stick to rubble when I frag them. All water testing has not turned up anything suspicious, and I have tried various locations, lighting, and current with no significant differences to note.
