Any guesses as to how long it would take to drive from Paris to Florence or Rome?
We are flying into Paris and out of Rome as we are planning on doing our honeymoon in Italy as Marjorie hasn’t seen much of it. If one is booking using points, I would recommend doing that as it doesn’t cost you any more money to fly into one city in Europe and out of another. There is no reason to head back up to Paris just to fly out of it if you are going to be down in Italy. Driving makes it nice as you can visit things on the way. It however depends on how much time you want to take to get there. I would think it would take about 15 hours to drive from Normandy to Milan. You need to cross mountains at some point which slows it down. It would therefore take a couple of days. Rome is quite a bit more south then Milan. If your goal is to spend more so time in Italy, then I would suggest taking a train there. Keep in mind that is it not only the cost of the car rental but also the price of gas. The price of gas right now in France and most of Europe is around $1.50 CDN/liter. As well,
