Any girls out there who collect stamps/firelighters/comics etc?
Is collecting stuff really a “guy” thing? I want to know how many girls out there who collect things as a serious hobby. I’m a teenage girl, very athletic, obsessed with sci-fi. I like to collect trivia and data by reading a lot of science books. I do not read normal fiction. I’m into outer space stuff, and scifi comics also. For tangible collections, my biggest collection is STAMPS. I specialise in Disney, Space and China stamps. I also collect firelighters (beer merchandise), some x men comics and I’m trying to get the entire manga collection of Shirow Masamune. I have a set of “charmed” novels, a “buffy” box set and smallville set. I have an incomplete sandman graphic novels set. I have five sticker albums from my primary school days. I began collecting stickers in kindergarten, but have since stopped. Sometimes I feel that I compete in sports to just to “complete” a medal collection or to “complete” some kind of internal checklist. Is this very masculine behaviour?
