you can get a replacement screen from a computer fair in tottnham court road under BT tower (used to go there every sat morning) then see if someone can connect the new/second hand screen to your laptop, to be honest wit you, shop around first ex: e-bay, also magazines like: computers shoppers, everyday practical microelectronics, or you can get a new one/second hand @ the same price you would pay to repair the old one. take extended insurance next time you make a big purchase such as this one.

You may be able to find a replacement screen or look for a dead laptop of the same kind on ebay. (when i mean dead i mean having the screen working) Screens aren’t hard to replace, but may set you back a lot of money (they’re probably the most expensive part of a laptop).

In a case like this the laptop will have to be shipped to the manufacturer to replace the screen. If its 11 months old then go to the manufacturer’s website to see if its still under warranty. Quite a few have a one year warranty. If so you get the screen replaced for free.
