As has been displayed & demonstrated numerous times before, Microsoft are aiming for a high quality audio in the Xbox, stating that it will have 256 simultaneous audio channels, 3D positional audio (through DirectSound), & Dolby AC3 audio encoding for crisp DVD theatre-type sound.
