Any bad experiences in the NY area with auto dealer Baron Auto Mall/World?
Hello, I recently purchased a car from Baron Auto Mall in Yonkers, NY. Shortly thereafter it went out of business. Although I signed the contract, I believe they used some illegal measures- for example, I’m paying more each month than they said i would, and the bank says that I can’t do anything about it. Also, The papers they gave me to fill out, I hand wrote on them. When I asked for a copy of the application from the bank (the bank that Baron suggested I use), it was typewritten. The bank and Baron might be working together, so I don’t know who to ask. I can’t really afford to hire a lawyer, and I don’t even know if I should try because I’m not sure if they did something illegal or if I just got legitimately scammed. Any advice would be welcome, or even any stories of people who also had bad experiences with this company. A: Your payments are higher than the dealer SAID they would be… but are they higher than the payments you SIGNED to on the contract? If the contract shows those
