Any advice on not pinching the tube when reinstalling the tire?

• You need to inflate the tube slightly when installing it. I also coat the tube with baby powder, which helps it slide around. I have yet to pinch a tube using that method. Make sure that your tire irons have smooth rounded ends. What drives me nuts is trying to get the tube valve through the hole in the rim. This is really tough on the hands. I have tried tying a string around the valve stem and pulling it though as well as fishing for it with a small screwdriver to encourage it to poke out of the rim, so I can get the valve nut installed to hold it in place. -Richard #230 • Thanks for the advice. I will post an update when I get this done. The tube comes coated with a white powdery substance. I got the valve stem through buy guiding it with a screwdriver both times and it was not too bad.
