Animal Friendly – Why is it important to avoid mineral products and animal products?
When you think about it, putting ingredients like collagen (from dead animals) onto your skin it can no way create the production of collagen in our skin tissue. The only way collagen can have an effect is by being injected under the epidermal layer. It then gradually breaks down over 6 months to a year and is removed through lymphatic system. Petrochemically derived mineral oils and synthetically made mineral oils fixate the skin blocking pores and preventing it from breathing. They are often used because they are cheap and create a nice silky feeling on the skin – initial impression is they are working wonders, no such luck!
