You can argue all you like but its true, just listen to Slayer’s new(ish) album God Hates Us All and you’ll see that they have remained true to the in-your-face approach they’ve always had over their 20 year career. That said, I’m not a great fan really. Whilst I resent the term “sell out” I will endeavour to answer this question rationally… despite the fact that I have just thought of a new way to use that ice-pick I got for Christmas. The issue at hand is not to question the undoubted brilliance of these bands. However the fans of these bands are notorious for rivalry.
