There isn’t a yes or no to this question, more like… sorta. Clark’s been capable of flight for years, ever since the start of Season 4 with “Crusade”, even going as far back with the “Metamorphosis” second ep. After the ultimate tease we’d gotten in Season 4’s premier, the writers kinda took a massive break in regards to addressing if Clark could or couldn’t fly, though still explored how other Kryptonians like Zod, Kara, and Bizarro could. Going off from what you said, getting as far as Season 8, then I’m sure you’ve seen that the issue was at least touched back on in Season 7’s “Veritas” with Clark’s brief lesson from Kara, as well as an arguable instance of spontaneous flight when he took offensive on Doomsday in the Season 8 finale. Now if ya’ continued on into Season 9, you’d see in that year’s very first ep that Clark has finally gotten past his Fortress training and despite not yet knowing how to full-fledge willingly fly, has had more training lessons in it (though we only se
