The writer contradicts himself by claiming “I don’t think True Blood creator Alan Ball or his writing team have any ill intent, so I’m not going to dwell any further, I’m just going to keep moving.” Well if the writer knows there’s no malicious intent in these portrayals then I must ask what’s the problem? To find racism in the behavior actions, and language of fictional characters simply because of the color of their skin is itself racist. I wonder if these characters where portrayed by white actors and actresses, would this article wouldn’t have even been written? Would the author even care? People are so easily offended these days and slap the racism label on anything that doesn’t fit in with today’s PC standards. Racism is hateful or malicious actions towards a specific ethnic group.
