You need some sort of records probably the receipt of transactions from your previous customers. Ebay usually keeps that in data in your account. What you need to do is keep an accounting booklet on your computer that you can keep track of your business. Ask the dealer what you can use as proof of income and explain to them in great detail this is what you do for your business as it’s your full time income. Do remember that income is not just sales amounts. It is sales less costs, just as you would declare for tax purposes. Bank records do not convey anything, because you may be using more than one account to pay your costs. You could present a much rosier picture by showing just bank statements but leaving out one of the accounts from which you pay your costs, In case it has not come to your attention, some businesses are sold to unsuspecting people by showing bank records that demonstrate a much higher profit than would have been reported to the IRS.
