Am i too tall to play annie in my school musical?
You are a good age to play Annie and do not worry about the wig (almost everyone has to be wigged to play Annie). As for your height, if you are talented enough, and the best person for the part, height may not be an issue except when casting other characters. If you are as tall or taller than Warbucks and Grace you may not get the part. I have lost many a chance at a roll because I was too short, or in your case too tall. But it can not hurt to try. As for your song, “Angel of Music” it is not a good song for Annie auditions, and do NOT sing a song from the show unless the director asks you to or says it is ok. Many directors hate when people sing a song from a show especally Annie. The last time I did the show Annie the director posted and annouced that she did not want anyone to sing a song from the show.) but here are a few suggestions (the songs may seem simple but they fit the range of Annie)….
