No, I find them to be a waste of time honestly. Most usage of social sites now is for the haughty elite, and market driven media to advertise their wares. Also some individuals, not all, make it their personal space to flaunt their idiocy across the internet for all to see.

I hate them as well, but i am also a deeply nosey and judgemental person, so i thrive in facebook

The entire sites are pointless – seems that every stupid with internet access now has an account on one of them too.

I can not stand any of them except Imeem, because it is a free music on-demand social site.
