Am I the only one who noticed Legolas eyes changing from blue to brown?
Nope. And heres why, from Vikki (chan_minako): “As an Elf, Legolas would have grey/blue eyes. His eyes are most often described as grey by Tolkien. “To imitate this, Peter thought it most important that Legolas be given blue eyes for the movie, so they gave Orlando blue contacts. However, if you’ve ever worn contacts with color, you know that the more opaque the contact is, the more it changes your eye color, but the more tunneled your vision becomes. You might notice that in the scenes where Legolas is just staring straight ahead, his eyes are super-blue, but when he’s talking to someone or far away, his eyes look brown. That’s because Orlando’s contact type changed according to what he was doing, to make it easier for him to act. When he’s acting with other people his contacts are less opaque, and his true eye color is very evident.
