Dith Pran, who lived through what would come to be known as the Cambodian Holocaust, suffered under the regime of Pol Pot’s, Khmer Rouge. Mr. Dith was sent to the killing fields/force labor camps in Cambodia and was kept prisoner there for four years. After suffering through years of torture, Mr. Dith eventually escaped to Thailand. Not only because of the years of torture and starvation Mr. Dith experienced under Pol Pot’s, Khmer Rouge, but because my family has been blessed with the addition to our family of my beautiful grandniece, who was abandoned as an infant on the side of a road in Cambodia. My grandniece was eventually found and taken to an orphanage where she remained for nearly 10 m
