Am I required to sign up for SlugMail?
No. Not at this time. In September 2009 signing up for SlugMail is optional. In September, students have a choice – either sign up for SlugMail powered by Google or continue using the campus email system, CruzMail. Both options allow students to use their existing @ucsc.edu email address. It’s important to know that it’s the same @ucsc.edu account – students will either login to SlugMail or login to CruzMail. Eventually, all student UCSC email accounts still using CruzMail will be moved over to Google in 2010.
