Am I required to provide stormwater detention for my proposed commercial development?
Stormwater detention, in accordance with Illinois Bulletin 70 Zone 2, 100-year rainfall data is required for all subdivision and commercial/industrial developments. It is at the Village Engineer’s discretion to grant a “fee in lieu of,” or a combination thereof, if the proposed improvements only involve a negligible amount of additional impervious area, or if providing detention on-site is not possible.
