Am I required to have observation hours in Audiology/ Speech-Language Pathology before entering graduate school?
No. While it is common for undergraduate programs in speech and hearing to provide students with observation experience, observation hours are not required for graduate admission. However students will need to have a minimum of 25 documented hours of observation prior to beginning to obtain clinical practicum hours. Students who do not have a minimum of 25 hours of observation will be provided the opportunity to obtain those hours as quickly as possible once in the graduate program.
