Am I obligated to include the dj for dinner?
Of course you’re not obligated. This is one of those gray areas, where it’s considered a nice gesture since the dj often is there for a couple of hours before your guests, plus usually plays for four to six hours, and add an hour for packing up… makes for a long day, so feeding the dj is allowed and appreciated.
