Am I interested in behavioural psychology or another branch of psychology?
Essentially, all branches of psychology are the study of behavior. By what you describe, it seems to me that you are more interested in reading behavior demonstrated through body language. There are several branches of psychology that deal with nonverbal communication more than other branches do. Here are a few: -Developmental psychology- This focuses on the emotions that humans go through during the different stages of their life. It teaches you how to read the body language of babies through adults. Developmental psychologists often deal with those who exhibit abnormal body language. A developmental psychologist would then interpret their body language and diagnose them if need be. -Social psychology- This focuses on the behavior of the human being in a certain environmental stimuli. Instead of studying the human being as an individual, social psychologists study the human being as a whole.
