Am I going to lose any of the email or files (pst folders) I currently have in Outlook?
A. Departments would approach the migration in a way most suited to their needs, so you should ask your department IT staff how this would be approached. There is a tool available to upload email, calendar and contacts from Outlook to Google and it is available for download here. There is also the option of using the Email Uploader program which would transfer email only. Finally, individuals can add their current U of A mail server IMAP account as an additional email account in Gmail and import messages that way. Students and faculty/staff who provide their own IT support can use either option to transfer their data and may call or visit the AICT Helpdesk for support.
