Am I entitled to more than basic pay for working bank holidays?
if you work in retail the chances are they never pay double time for bank holidays Nowadays retail get away with contracts that cover hours rather than days, and you’re expected to work these hours over a seven day week if the store is open on a bank holiday then they class this as a normal working day,so you’d just be entitled to your normal hourly rate- sad but true
