Yes, you will be entitled to statutory maternity leave (39 weeks) and as a minimum, Statutory Maternity Pay. The fact you are on mat leave just now could affect your first 6 weeks maternity which is usually based on 90% of salary between weeks 17 and 25 of pregnancy. Some employers may offer enhancements above the SMP rates and if yours is one of them, you will have to check your HR department’s policy.
