Am I eligible for a ClimateSmart Home Service?
To be eligible for a service, your home must: • be separately metered for electricity • be located in Queensland • have an authorised and approved connection to the ENERGEX or Ergon Energy electricity grid* (but not be connected to Ergon Energy’s stand alone distribution networks in remote areas of Western and Northern Queensland); and • not have previously had a ClimateSmart Home Service carried out. *Electricity in Queensland is supplied to most customers via an electricity distribution system, which connects the high voltage transmission system to individual premises. In most of Queensland, the Government Owned Corporations ENERGEX and Ergon Energy are responsible for the distribution of electricity. Generally it is only remote and rural areas which are not connected to the ENERGEX or Ergon Energy electricity grid.
