Am i better doing the apprenticeship in aeronautical engineering?
I assume you are in the UK since you said “RAF” (Royal Air Force) Be careful with your college choices. The top universities in the UK consider subjects like Psychology and Film Studies as “soft options” so they won’t count for much when you apply. In any case they are irrelevant for studying engineering. Good grades in maths and physics plus another “traditional” subject (not necessarily another science – it could be history or english or something) would be better, if you want to go one of the top engineering universities like Imperial College London, Nottingham, Warwick, etc. An apprenticeship will lead to a different type of career, more practical than theoretical. Don’t get the wrong idea that apprenticeship is somehow “second class”. The practical people who actually know how to run a wind tunnel and get sensible results from it are just as important in the aerospace industry as the people who designed the thing that is being tested, for example. Only you can answer the question
