I understand how worried you are however I think you may be being excessive. I really do understand your concern, the sun can be very dangerous to sensitive skin, however if she has no interest in tanning perhaps she could sit in the shade with the sun cream factor that you have bought her, seeing as she wouldn’t mind? Reapplication is necessary too but perhaps compromise on the timing depending on how hot the country that you’re visiting is. The hat is a very good idea as it protects you from sun stroke too but it seems like the punishment would create tension between you and your daughter, and you and your husband. The most important thing is that you have a wonderful holiday away together.

your not over reacting, the only part I think your over reacting is the re-applying every hour. this is unnecessary, especially with factor 50+ you could go about 4hours then reapplying it, because putting it on every hour will be very time consuming and wouldn’t feel very nice, her skin will feel oily and slippery and just not very nice, and I don’t think you need to wear sun spay on her hair if she’s wearing a hat it’s just going to make her hair really greasy and damage it.. I think you need to lay off a little really, apply sun cream after breakfast then at dinner (12ish) then again at about 3-4pm.
