I have been taking Prezista and Intelence (etravirine) for several months as part of the Tibotec DUET study. At first I responded well. My viral load went from 250,000 to 25,000 and my CD4 count went from 6 to 26. Now my labs show a viral load of 47,000 and a T-cell count of 15. Is this evidence that I’ve already become resistant to the drugs? Response from Renslow Sherer, M.D.
