Am I able to uninstall Internet Explorer?

Removing the IE browser would not free up some space because the said program takes very minimal space. TO free up your hard drive, determine the programs and applications which you tend to use a lot. Clear up the temp files and folders using disk utilities available in your system. Clear the internet browsing cache. This should give you some free space. Also, try to move some large files (MP3,AVI) to an external hard drive if you got one to free up space in your machine.

I think you need to be at least WinXP service pack 2 before it will let you uninstall IE. You can get SP2 by running windows update.
