Well you can install a full linux (ie, replace xbox with linux) by using the stock bios, and getting one of the prefabbed linux distros, and renaming the linux xbe to dashboard.xbe and moving it to the proper location. this will completely DESTROY your ability to play XBOX games though. Answer 2 Most/All linux distros will give you the option to install inside the e: partition or, if you have/install a hard drive bigger than 8gb, in the f: partition. These will not affect your ability to play games at all. No distro makes any attempt to alter the ms dashboard anyway in spite of what the above poster says. Also an altered dashboard.xbe in no way affects your xboxs ability to play games either.
