There’s good news and bad news. Computer Graphics and lots of game design are very very maths heavy. The good news is that just because you were bad at maths at school does not mean you will bad at uni maths. Uni maths is quite different to what you learned at school and many people who were “bad at maths” at school take to it very well. The other good news is that lots of game design does not require heavy maths. Computer modelling, animation, plot design, game balance, AI, scripting and music are all vital to the game design process are do not require the heavy maths and programming skills that building the engine needs.
