Am buying a new shed and would like some advice on shed bases?
I have seen the PT wood bases used a lot. They are a lot easier to put in than digging and pouring, but they will not last indefinitely. If this is going to really be a permanent structure, I would go with the concrete slab. Put some mesh in it so you don’t have to worry about it cracking, and use PT for your bottom plate and your shed will last much longer. Another trick, buy some of the “fake” wood decking used for patios. Its a bit pricey, but you don’t need that much. Spend the money, and take the time to rip them length wise, then use the “strips” you cut for your bottom plate. They do not rot, and bugs are not so thrilled with them. It will reduce the maintenance work for you shed.
