Answer Hello Tom, So far, my search has produced virtually no TVs that will actually do the 1920 X 1080 native resolution of the 1080i HD format. High cost seems to be the limiting factor here. LG makes a front projector that claims this capability but I have not seen it in operation. Most of the available consumer digital TV sets do about 1200 X 720 pixels in native resolution and downcovert the 1080i interlaced input signals to this resolution (720P). They do make an excellent picture nontheless. I own a 53″ Pioneer HDTV that is a rear projection model (now no longer produced by Pioneer as they make only plasma TVs) that makes an excellent HD picture. I have recently installed a 50″ Pioneer plasma, a 63″ Samsung plasma, and a 50″ Phillips plasma for customers and they do make great pictures–at a cost over four times that of my set. The rear projection TVs are a bargain these days and you can buy an excellent quality Toshiba or Hitachi for under $2000. I guess if I was going to jump
