Try to get a general feel for the congregation. Do you like the sermon? Does the rabbi seem friendly and genuine to you? Do you like the worship style? Some places are very formal. Some are very casual. Don’t worry about whether you understand the service. You’ll learn about the liturgy as you study. The first thing is to know where you want to begin.
