All communication satellites r parked in geosyncrons orbt with only longitude measure.what about latitude?
Communication satellites almost always have an orbital inclination of zero degrees. That is, they are in orbits that occupy the same plane as Earth’s equator. We give their location as the longitude on Earth over which they appear most directly to “hover.” The latitude, being the equator, is always zero. If a satellite were in an orbit with a period of 24 hours, but an inclination other than zero, then from the Earth it would appear to move generally up and down in the sky over the course of a day. That is usually unacceptable for communications purposes. But its ground track would have a latitude that varied.
