Age and licence: what is the minimum age required to subscribe and what type of licence is needed?

To be eligible for an individual subscription, you must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Quebec driver’s licence, minimum class 5. That being said, since May 1st, 2007, “children” under the age of 21 who hold a valid driver’s licence can also subscribe to the service as part of a family membership, as long as they reside at the same address as the parent. The deductible, in case of at-fault accidents, for children 20 years old or younger is $500, regardless of the deductible to which the parent has subscribed. This option will be under review and will be modified if the accident rate among our younger drivers is too high.
