We simplified the process for amending living trusts in Quicken WillMaker Plus 2008. Trust documents created using a pre-2008 version of Quicken WillMaker should still be valid; however, you cannot access them with Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009. To access your pre-2008 trust document, use the version of Quicken WillMaker that you created the trust with. Do not uninstall your older version of Quicken WillMaker. If you’ve used Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009 to open the documents file containing your living trust, you’ll need to: • Start your pre-2008 version of Quicken WillMaker Plus. • Choose File > Open Documents File. • Open your Nolo Documents Backup folder – located in “My Documents” (Windows 2000 and XP) or “Documents” (Windows Vista) folder. • Select and open the “Pre-2009 Documents of [your name].pfl” file that contains your original signed or amended trust. From there you can continue work on your previously-created trust document.
