Most likely a webcam device driver was installed on this computer before and such device driver apparently altered Windows’ Video Codec search list to puts itself on the top of the search list and claimed it would support YUYV video format but such support was not implemented correctly. To resolve this issue, download RestoreVideoCodeList fix from our Downloads page. The fix restores Windows Video Codec search list by putting back Microsoft’s original video codec msyuv.dll on the top of the search. The fix is harmless because it doesn’t modify or delete any files and the webcam previously installed on this computer will still work.
