After my upload, I see some links in my member homepage about keyword assignment and adding geographical information: Whats up with that?
Glad you asked. Since macmurph.com is considered to be a Photo Database, you have to assign keywords and geographical information to all the pictures of your new album. Frankly, the idea of keywords is simple: They should describe what everybody sees on the picture. If there is a tree, a mountain and a person seen on the picture, you should add the keywords ‘tree’, ‘mountain’ and ‘people’ to the picture. With the bulk editing feature, you can assign keywords to all pictures with a single step. Therefore, like already mentioned, it makes sense to upload small albums. Please consider twice if you like to add a new keyword – there are already hundreds of them used. Don’t assign a plural form if the singular form is already available (for example, don’t add the keyword ‘cats’ even if there is more than one cat on your picture – just use the picture ‘cat’) This link will show you a list of all keywords which are currently used: www.macmurph.com/photodb/keywords.
