After my arrival, when will I get my first pay cheque? Should I expect to have to bring a lot of money with me to sustain me until my first payday?
You will usually be paid exactly one month after arrival if you arrive during the first week of a month, or sooner if you arrive later in the month. You should always have some money in case of emergency when travelling, but as far as sustaining yourself in Korea, it is much cheaper than home, and the school is always available to give you a pay advance for days you have already worked.
