Rick Wilson: The obvious answer to that would be experience. When you’ve been in a number of different situations hopefully those experiences will lend themselves to players and staff in a supportive matter. LR: In all your time behind the bench, what is the biggest lesson you’ve ever learned? RW: I think basically its being able to control your emotions. In a competitive environment that is the easiest thing to run amuck. LR: Did the possibility of being reunited with Cap Raeder effect your decision to join the Lightning? How much did you two talk before you made your decision? RW: First of all, we did talk quite a bit. He was very helpful and insightful in deliberating on this opportunity. The fact that Cap was there wasn’t a major factor, it was a nice plus, but it wasn’t a major factor in making the decision to come to Tampa.
