After Ive submitted the online application, how long will it be until I receive an account number, checks and a check card?
Your application will be reviewed for approval by an SPE Member Service Representative within one business day. Upon approval, we will open your account(s), notify you by telephone with the details of your account, and mail you a welcome packet containing information about your new Member Account and a print-out of your application. Your welcome letter should arrive within two to five business days of approval. If eligible, we can order an ATM or SPE Visa Check Card and checks. Your checks and cards will arrive separately, within ten business days of approval. In the meantime, we ask that you print a copy of your application, sign and date it in the appropriate areas, and mail it to the credit union. We require your signature to be on file before your new Member Account will be activated. If we do not receive this signed application within 30 days of opening your account, your new Member Account will be frozen.
