After Ive reclassified certain user accounts as being inactive, why do their sessions still remain valid?

Reclassifying the user account status does not affect the current sessions. You must manually terminate the sessions you want to inactivate. Afterward or after the users have logged off, users of those accounts will not be able to re-log in.
