After I have submitted my redelegation request, how long is it before the changes take effect?
In the case of a .com.au or .net.au domain name, on submission of the redelegation request a message will be returned indicating Success or Failure as appropriate. In the event your redelegation has not been successful, a possible reason will be included in the message that could help you succeed in the next attempt. In the case of .org.au, .id.au and .asn.au domain names, an email will be sent out to the email address specified in the request indicating success or failure as appropriate. At the moment you receive the Success message, your Redelegation request has been received and accepted by the .au registry. However, it takes between 12 15 hours for the new information to propagate and take effect around the Internet. This means that some users will still see the old name server information until the entire World Wide Web is updated.
