After I find the property I am interested in on a plat, how can I access additional information?
Parcels of land shown on plats have labels comprised of a file type (letters of the alphabet) and a file number (usually numeric). A common file type is ADL. (Alaska Division of Land). You can write down or remember the file type and file number, and then use that information to look up related information on LAS, the DNR mainframe system. Users may find it convenient to have one browser window open for viewing plats, and one browser window open for conducting LAS searchs. We are not able to automatically link the labels on the plat images to LAS at this time, but we continue to look into our options.
