Certification is not a requirement upon completion of any AAPC courses. You may sign up for the exam when you feel ready. Some students prefer to take the exam soon after their course completion while the information is fresh in their minds. Others prefer to wait and continue to build on the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired through practice exams, study guides, exam reviews, etc.
