lol at the 1st guy im in hysterics but nah let nature take its course as it will on every thing and let it go how it wanst who said letting it die naturally hurts or who sed freezing it dont hurt id hate 2 be frozed just let it go ti will haped soon er or laterr then do the honorable thign and flush it

OK so just freeze him in a cup and then if your fish is small just flush him down the toilet whilst he is still frozen so you don’t have to fumble around with your dead pet. If it is bigger then you could dispose of him in outdoor waste or bury him like I did.

Freezing would be painful, ice crystals form in their organs while they are still alive and they do not “fall asleep” before that.. Go to the baking section of a local store. There is something called Clove Oil, it’s inexpensive and it puts the fish to sleep much like they do to dogs in pounds. They do go peacefully. Soak some food in the clove oil and feed it to the fish. You might want to put the fish in an isolation tank or container while doing this if you have other fish in the tank with them, that way, it won’t accidentally kill the other fish. If you do use clove oil in the main tank, clean the tank thoroughly before adding more fish. Afterward, you can flush or bury the fish. Flushing while they are alive seems cruel too, the chemicals in the water will actually chemically burn the fish alive.
